Millions of books from the collection of the New York Public Library (NYPL) are stored in an area known as the „stacks” under Bryant Park, adjacent to the library’s main branch, in New York, U.S., on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Stephen Schwarzman, chairman of Blackstone Group LP, pledged $100 million to the NYPL, which will rename its main Manhattan building on Fifth Avenue after him. $100 million is the largest ever guaranteed donation to a New York cultural organization.
